Conceived for long-duration sitting and settling—not the occasional perch.
Some people don’t sit for a moment. They stay: through another chapter, another draft, another hour.
A low, deep form with considered angles and cushioning—made for staying comfortable as sitting becomes settling.
AKS / DIFFERENT HUMAN TRUTHS
We sit. We sleep. We get ready. We gather. We put things down, move them, lose them, live around them.
Somewhere inside ordinary life there is usually something worth noticing.
A frustration. A ritual. A desire. A behaviour everybody accepts because nobody thought to question it.

YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO
BE TIRED TO WANT IT.
FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK A BED SHOULD DO MORE THAN WAIT FOR NIGHT
Not because you’re exhausted.
Because it looks that inviting.
A bed occupies too much of a bedroom to matter only when you’re asleep. You see it when you walk in. It sets the room before almost anything else does. And whether you intend it to or not, it says something about your taste.
WANT was designed with that kind of presence. Sculptural enough to define the bedroom. Inviting enough to make you want to undo the perfectly made sheets. Even at three in the afternoon.
FOR THE LAST LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAVE
A mirror for the ritual of leaving.
Before work. Before dinner. Before the door closes behind you. It is one of the last places you stop before presenting yourself to the world.
And yet most mirrors are treated like something used to fill an empty wall. PORTAL wasn’t. It was designed as part of the ritual of getting ready—an object you approach, use and leave through.

Look at what people actually do, want, tolerate and repeat.
A frustration. A desire. A ritual. A contradiction. Something worth responding to.
Form, proportion, material, construction and detail follow the thought.
Move the idea into the AKS workshop in Lahore.
Let actual use tell us whether the idea survived becoming an object.
05 / MEANING BEFORE AESTHETICS
Beauty matters. So do material, proportion, craft and presence.
But none of those alone gives an object a reason to exist. There has to be a thought underneath it.
Meaning first.
06 / BUILT CLOSE TO HOME
The distance between the people designing the object and the people building it is short.
A sketch moves to the bench. Timber is cut. A joint changes. Upholstery is opened. Someone sits. The drawing changes again.
